Our heart is one of the most important organs in our body. It is not only the place through which our blood flows, but it is also the place where we cultivate love. The way in which we behave, care for ourselves, and others is a direct reflection of how we perceive ourselves and the world around us.
When our heart feels hurt and anger we typically reflect those feelings outside of ourselves in some form or fashion. Sometimes these negative emotions can become so much a part of who we are that we do not even notice the walls that we have built around our heart, which in turn causes us to build walls in our relationships.
Today and throughout this 9 week series we are going to slowly work to cultivate more love in our heart for ourselves, for God and for one another.
Make time for yourself soon. Sit down and have an intimate conversation with your mind, heart, body, and soul. Listen to what they tell you. They may have some interesting things to say and most likely will AMAZE you!
The handout attached here is meant to guide you as you work to cultivate more love in your life.
Most importantly, have fun with and truly relax in this process. One of the greatest gifts my youngest daughter gave me was her ability to ask for a "squeeze" when she was young. Sometimes though, there is not always someone there to hug or hold you, so take a moment to put your left hand on your right shoulder and your right hand on your left shoulder and squeeze yourself. Learning to love yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give you and others.
Have a beautiful day ya'll!
All My Love,
Jen
