Made for One Another

My friend and I are doing a year long Bible study together, which in itself brings great joy. Earlier this week, I read a verse I had never noticed before.

“The Lord your God is with you, 

the Mighty Warrior who saves. 

He will take great delight in you; 

in his love he will no longer rebuke you, 

but will rejoice over you with singing.” 

- Zephaniah 3:17

Though these words were spoken over Jerusalem, I believe they reflect God’s heart for all of us. He takes “great delight in” and “rejoice[s] over [us] with singing.” How exciting is that?!? To know God sings over us is pretty incredible. 

I wrote once about how I love to dance, sing and whistle, but to know God loves to do the same, is something quite different. It’s almost like we were made for one another. Oh wait, we were... Made in His image makes my heart sing with delight.

There are moments of great strife and confusion in life which can bring us to our knees. Knowing God delights and rejoices in and sings over us brings me such great joy. 

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for being excited for us! Thank you for delighting in and rejoicing with singing over us. We pray our lives reflect your melody and love. Thank you, Lord. Have a beautiful day, God. Amen.
