Genesis 2:18–25: Then the LORD God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.' ... So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
Ask God to help you learn how to best support one another.
Frequently, when asked how someone can help or support us, we reply “Oh I am good” or “I am not really sure.” It’s hard for us to articulate or know where we need help or support, much less our spouse being able to figure it out.
So, take some time each week to turn to God and ask him “How can I best support my husband/wife?” He may not always tell you in words, but it may come to you in a request from your spouse. Or naturally through your daily interaction.
Simply being more in tune with one another might be all the support you need.
Ya’ll have a beautiful day!
