With a Single Touch

God’s hand is in everything we do. Pieces of heartfelt moments, like when I was having a conversation with a young lady who wrote about an experience which caused a chemical burn over most of her body. And, said to me “I really didn’t know if I was going to make it, but I am here now doing the best I can everyday.” And, another student who reached out to say “I’m sorry Mrs. Frnka, I got my days confused. Can we reschedule?” Moments like these remind me, my students are working through pain, hurt, heartbreak and confusion, and like most adults giving the best they can everyday.
Though each of us carry our hurt, heartbreak, and pain differently we are all touched by God in one way or another. Regardless of how we might look or feel, He is always there. Tears and sorrow do not indicate a lack of his presence, instead they can offer us comfort and reassurance of how He works.
We can see His touch as a son greets his father with open arms as he welcomes him into his home. We can see His touch as a sister leans in to gently nudge her brother forward in the communion line. We can see his touch from generation to generation as a great-grandmother reaches out to hold her great grandchild for the first time. In small ordinary moments our hearts burst with joy while God’s love overflows.
God is there with every sunrise and sunset and in the smiles of those around us. We do not need to look far to see how God touches our world and makes all things new. Often, I stand in awe of his great glory. To think of a single being that can reach the whole universe with just with just one touch. His love can change our world.
Take a moment today to notice how just one touch can change the circumstances around you.
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the blessing of being a witness to the way in which you move in our world. Thank you Lord for the smiles, the laughter, and even the tears. We know that through it all you are working. Thank you for continuing to be a good, good Father. Have a beautiful day, God. Amen.
Y'all have a beautiful day!
All My Love,
Jen
