His Love and Light Seep Through

Oh the moments I have spent outside - treasured - wrapped in the warmth of the sun or the coolness of the wind. Seated by a fire, smiling, laughing. My heart soaking in all the adventures I had been on, excited for the ones I had yet to take. I have found that being out in the world, nature that is, helps to soothe your soul more than anywhere else. The fresh air, the flitting of the birds, the chirping, the quacking of the ducks, the swish of the water, the quiet, quaint woods surrounding you or the majestic view of the mountains or ocean stretching for miles around you, provides just enough space to breathe in all the goodness God has for us.

Though most of us work in buildings all day, there are ways to bring nature to us. A small bouquet of flowers near your desk, adorning your table, or even part of your zoom background. Windows with light streaming in. Stepping out into the wind for a moment during a lunch break, or just before a meeting. When you are not feeling well, open the front door or the windows to let in the fresh air. Cutting off all the noise in the house including the fan to just let the natural sounds of life peep in. It’s the most refreshing thing one can do.

Take a moment today to venture into nature. It could be as simple as stepping outside your door to breathe in the beauty or head out for a walk down the street or in a park. Let God’s love and light seep in, breathe it in, and hold on.

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for these natural moments with you. They bring us great joy. Lord, none of these moments are especially out of the ordinary, but simple moments in life we can enjoy everyday with you. God of love, let your light seep in. Have a wonderful day, God. Amen.

Y'all have a beautiful one!

All My Love,

Jen
