Love Your Spouse More Deeply in 25 Days - Day 12

Take a Road Trip

Ruth 1:16-17: Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.

ROAD TRIP! We absolutely love these for multiple reasons, but one of the greatest gifts they have provided us with is time together unlike any other time. Many of our road trips last 7 - 10 days and usually involve several days of planning and working together before the trip.

Admittedly there are times when we do not always agree on the priorities for the trip or the major stops, but we always come to an amicable agreement. We do usually have an itinerary, but we have always agreed that it is not about the destination, but about our time together. We have so much fun stopping off at unplanned points and experiencing moments we never even dream of.

We have recently discovered that if we pack our van with our girls in the very back seat and put the box of snacks and cooler of drinks between them and us, they have more space and we have quick access to nourishment, which makes for a beautiful road trip experience!

It’s the small things, the small adjustments that we make here and there that can make all the difference. And knowing that we are by each other’s side helping one another to navigate the journey is all we really need to know.

Ya’ll have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
