Believe in Discipline.
When you live with post traumatic stress, simple tasks like choosing what clothes to wear or what to eat that day can feel overwhelming at points. When you couple that with raising children and being a husband or wife, it can sometimes be enough to bring a person to complete exhaustion. In these moments it is important to have tools in place for yourself. Something like a checklist, calendar, or some other reminder of how to approach these simple decisions can be helpful.
Lord, we want to thank you for helping us put the tools in place that will help us to make even the smallest decisions. We want to thank you for helping us to raise our children, especially when we are overwhelmed. We want to thank you for bringing people into our lives who can provide wisdom and guidance. Most especially Lord, we want to thank you for helping us to find rest and healing when we are completely exhausted.
Consider for a moment all of the blessings that you have in your life. Let’s make a list of 5 blessings:
Take a moment to be here with God. Thank Him for all the blessings that you have received and the blessings which you are about to receive.
Then breathe in and breathe out. Smile knowing that your needs are all taken care of!
