Like a Butterfly Emerging from a Cocoon

God cracks me up sometimes. He really does. Just when you think you have got it all together, resting in your cocoon, there is usually something that happens to derail or take you off track for a bit and push you out of your comfort zone.

Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, so too do we emerge from a time in life that seemed comfortable, but in truth was helping us prepare for another more beautiful stage. When we are faced with hardships, heartbreak, or incredibly painful situations it can feel as if God is not there, as if he does not care, yet every time we look back, we can see these were the exact times He was there, larger than life even.

Much like a butterfly breaking free from its cocoon, through these challenging times we shed old fears and doubts, ultimately emerging stronger and more refined. We learn resilience, patience, and the strength of our faith. Thank goodness God usually sends someone to speak goodness over us during these times.

We fly to him expecting a miracle, really more like a magic show – presto change-o, but instead we usually get more than we ever thought possible. He pulls us in, holds us closer than we ever thought He could, and just loves us. Though, life can present us with challenges we never dreamed we would face, when we invite God into the cocoon peaceful almost magical moments do happen. I laugh and smile at the magnificence of what He is capable of. Truly AMAZING!

God knows what He’s doing even if we cannot understand. He is always operating for our good. Helping us to become stronger, better people. I remember a time in my life when I was frustrated with my situation, left questioning everything. It felt as if my world had turned upside down, and I could not see a way forward. However, in those dark moments, God sent people to speak goodness into me, I learned to lean on my faith more and more, and slowly, I began to see changes in myself—my perspective shifted, my confidence grew, and I discovered strengths I never knew I had. It was as though I had emerged from my own cocoon, transformed and ready to face whatever came next with a renewed sense of purpose and hope.

Heavenly Father, thank you for those beautiful, magnificent butterflies that often surface in the most unexpected moments. Thank you especially, Lord, for those beautiful, magnificent butterfly moments when you were molding us into something new. Lord, You are the great miracle worker. You know what we need before we even come to you. Thank You for helping us build a cocoon and emerge with a renewed sense of purpose and strength. Thank you Lord for all the butterfly moments in our lives. Have a beautiful day, God! Amen.

Y'all have a beautiful one!

All My Love,

Jen
