“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

Sometimes God answers our cry for help by strengthening our hands. Other times, He answers by sending someone else’s.

One morning as I was walking behind my mom I watched her grow weaker with each step. She only had a step or two to go before reaching her wheelchair, but her body gave out first. There I was holding the football, not as either of us intended, praying “Lord, help me!” while simultaneously calling out “Dad, Justin! Someone help!”

They came running and the game began in a way we didn’t anticipate. No coin toss. No choosing how the play would run. Just us, the walker, the wheelchair, and every ounce of strength we had to get her into the chair without hurting her or ourselves.

This is the grace and the tiny miracles God keeps giving us: we don’t have to play alone.

Fortunately, these moments don’t happen often and we can laugh about them after they occur. While they are happening though, they are far from laughable. Sometimes it feels like we’re fumbling the ball when, in reality, God is simply handing it to someone else for a while.

As I left my parents house that day there was a message on my phone from one of my dear friends. She had sent a link to a song titled “Hold Us Together” by H.E.R & Tauren Wells during the time I was juggling the wheelchair and my Mom, though she had no idea. I already knew God was in the room with us, but receiving her message felt like an amazing confirmation that He was there. He had already lined up beside us before I ever called His name.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the people who come running when we need them, for the hands that steady us, the voices that encourage us, and the quiet reminders that we were never meant to carry the ball alone. Thank You for the unexpected messages, the songs, the prayers, and the small mercies that reassure us You are near. Thank You so much, Lord. Have a beautiful day! Amen.

Have a beautiful day y'all!

All My Love,

Jen
