Grow into the New Year!

I have been thinking about how we jump into the new year with grand plans or use it as a time to prioritize and clean out or clean up, but soon we lose sight of our grand plans or goals because well, life.

So, I was thinking maybe this year we try something new, maybe this year we grow into the year. That is not to say that we don’t plan or prioritize or clean out or clean up, rather like the flowers we continue to grow despite the storms.

You see my Mom gave my daughters a package of flower seeds at Easter this year and they did not get planted like we intended, so Christmas Day arrived and we finally planted them. In just a few days they were sprouting and in less than a week several of them appeared to be growing above the soil. Things didn’t go as planned, but I am not sure that we would have appreciated their growth like we do today had we planted them earlier this year.

You see, the back of the package instructed us to plant them between January and April, so that they would grow in May, so we were not anticipating seeing movement for at least a few months, but they reminded us that God works in His time and in His own way.

They also reminded us that you never know when an idea that you have or work that you have done might bring about new or unexpected growth.

This year, jump into the year with plans, jump into the year prioritizing and cleaning out or cleaning up, but also jump into the year expecting to grow in the way that God intended.

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” Philippians 1:6.

We wish you a beautiful new year and much peace, joy and love! Ya’ll have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
