Believe in Discipline.
Living with post-traumatic stress is not all bad, especially when you have the best tools in your tool belt and you know which one to use and how to use it. You can go months, even years without an issue, so it’s a good idea to store your tools in a safe place when you are not using them. Just like the plumbing, air-conditioner, and car require preventive maintenance we do too. It is a good idea to find a reliable friend or family member you can trust or a trained professional who you can check in with on a consistent basis who can honestly help you to assess where you are in your healing journey. As you become more disciplined in this time of reflection, so too will you find more peace, trust and strength in your life and in the lives of those around you.
Heavenly Father, thank you so much for inviting us to share in this journey to seeing more peace, trust, strength and discipline in our lives. Thank you for providing us with the tools that we need to not only heal, but to maintain a closer walk with you. Thank you for showing us that you are love Lord and that you created us to be deeply loved and respected in spite of our circumstances. Help us to believe this truth always.
For it is in giving that we receive- stay in this place for a moment:
When was the last time that you gave your love away? __________________________________________________________________________________
When was the last time that you let someone know that you respected them? __________________________________________________________________________________
Step out today knowing that God’s love surrounds you and consider sharing a bit of it with the rest of the world!
Y’all have a beautiful day!
