Love Your Spouse More Deeply in 25 Days - Day 16

Celebrate the Changing Seasons Together!

1 John 4:12: No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

“Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall all you have to do is call” - Carole King’s You’ve Got a Friend plays through my mind as I begin to write.

Of course, the physical changes around us are wonderful to celebrate, but so are those deeper changes in our relationships with our spouse. The times of ebb and flow. The times of feeling like we are walking in the desert and have lost our canteen. The times of standing under the waterfall of overflow and drinking it all in and all the times in between.

Celebrate, especially when you are so, so thirsty --- look towards the Son and ask Him to show you the sunshine and rainbow each day. Celebrate together even the smallest moments. Hold each other close and remember where your priorities lie.

Look for opportunities to do things together. Small things like going on a walk, visiting a museum, going on a picnic, attending church or a devotional hour together, or even run through the sprinklers in your neighbor's yard. Ensure that you have poured a little extra water into your spouse’s canteen each day. And, let them know that they are deeply, deeply loved no matter the season.

Ya’ll have a beautiful day!

All My Love,

Jen
